WBF President Honoured in Beijing China

WBF President Mr Mick Croucher returned from China recently after a huge Promotion that hosted 2 WBF Regional Titles in Beijing. Mr Croucher said that the International boxing promotion he supervised and co ordinated on the 14th of October was a huge success with 10 International guests flown in from Australia & the Philippines including WBF Officials for the championship contests.

Two Australian boxers were defeated by their hard punching Chinese opponents, who have the potential to fight for WBF World Titles next year. Mingcun Chen a lightheavyweight boxer with a dedicated KO record for all his professional bouts won the vacant WBF International Light heavyweight title with a first round KO and his counterpart Ziqiang Huo stopped his Australian opponent in round 5 to capture the vacant WBF Asia Pacific welterweight title.

The WBF are now awaiting Sponsorship programs for the forthcoming year and will be promoting and sanctioning title fights throughout Mainland China in 2019 , which will be televised on National CNN stations.

Mr Croucher also received an Honour Award from the Beijing City and Beijing Boxing Association in appreciation of his support, contribution and service to the Sport of Professional Boxing in China. Mr Croucher is pictured here receiving his award with newly appointed WBF Legal Counsel- Asia Ms Nancy Li of the Beijing Shangban Law Firm. Mr Crouher said he was proud to receive this honor generated from a city with 21 million inhabitants and the capital city of China.
