The vacant WBF Australasian Cruiserweight Title was on the line in the Main Event of the evening in front of a capacity crowd at Easts Leagues Club in Bondi, Sydney, Australia. Brennan, as always came to fight but the undefeated Davoren was just too good on the night.

Matthew Davoren a former two time Australian State Heavyweight Champion showed talent and skill far beyond his current undefeated record as a Professional and by all accounts is making some noise in the Cruiserweight division in his home country of Australia.

From the opening bell, Davoren with height and reach advantage over his game opponent, showed deserved respect for the most of the opening round, however, he caught Brennan with a barrage of body shots late in the round that had Brennan down but to his credit the always durable and crafty Brennan beat the count and saw the round out.

The second round saw Brennan down again from an aggressive body attack from Davoren but again he beat the count to see the round out.

Davoren looked in control throughout rounds 3 and 4 and in the 5th round appeared to have found another gear kicking it up a notch and landing solid combinations to the head and body which had Brennan down once again but this time the referee in charge of the action had seen enough and called a halt to proceedings waving it away crowning Davoren the new WBF Australasian Cruiserweight Champion.
