Sam 'KING' Soliman to complete his legacy and vows to become a triple World Champion

To complete a professional boxing legacy for a King in waiting to be recrowned, we wait until April 12th in Melbourne, Australia.

What do you say about a warrior and a gentleman like Australian Sam 'King' Soliman. In his final fight he receives the opportunity again be crowned World Champion. With Sam being a former two time World Middleweight Champion there seriously could be nothing more to ask of this man in the sport of professional boxing.

Simply take a look at his record throughout an illustrious career, and it's not over just yet. Having shared the square ring with such names as Jermain Taylor, Ronald 'Winky' Wright, Sakio Bika and Felix Sturm just to name a few and with no less than 62 Professional fights under his belt, we at the WBF are honoured to once again sanction the vacant WBF World Middleweight title for Sam to contest.
Sam first won the WBF World Middleweight title in October of 2009 and made a successful defence in March 2010. He won his second World Title (IBF version) in May of 2014. Will 2019 be the year that Sam Soliman becomes a Triple World Champion ten years after winning his first?!

The opportunity to become a Triple World Champion is real for Sam but the man that stands in his way is former Commonwealth Games representative Mark Lucas who has only a single loss on his resume as a professional. Lucas the younger fighter that has held the OPBF Silver and PABA Middleweight straps recently announced his retirement from boxing but once presented with the opportunity to fight a legend of the sport after former World Champion Puerto Rican Manny Siaca withdrew from the fight due to injury, has found a new hunger and desire.

Ask all that know Sam 'King' Soliman, a true gentleman both in and out of the ring, such a clich but so very true. Known as one of the good guys of sport not just in his home country of Australia but indeed all over the world, he has been honest and true throughout an amazing and successful career and to add yet another World Championship belt to his legacy would be a sweet ending to his story.
