WBF World Heavyweight Title

The World Boxing Foundation World Heavyweight Title will be on the line come February 27th at The Darwin Convention Centre in Darwin, Northern Territory Australia.

Former Australian Heavyweight and current WBO Asia Pacific Heavyweight Champion Peter ‘The Chief’ Graham faces American Julius ‘The Towering Inferno’ Long.

Julius Long at 216cm tall (7’ 1” in the old measurement) presents a very capable and willing opponent for Aussie Peter Graham who has been sparring former WBF Heavyweight Champ Lucas Browne in preparation for this fight.

With no common opponents on their records this match up is certain to produce fireworks. Long is coming off a very good win over Australian prospect Justin Whitehead and Graham also coming off two very good wins over fellow Australian and big punching Ben Edwards for the Australian Heavyweight Title and well credentialed Alphonce McHumiatumbo for the WBO Asia Pacific Heavyweight Strap.

With the Darwin Convention Centre set to host the first World Title bout in Darwin Australia for over 20 years and Pacific Promotions boss Mark Ericksen putting together a very well matched undercard, this event promises to be one for the record books.

The World Boxing Foundation wishes both boys all the very best in their quest to be crowned the WBF World Heavyweight Champion.

With 3 WBF World Titles being contested in Scotland and Australia within weeks of each other, 2016 is expected to be a very active year for the World Boxing Foundation.
