The quietly spoken and humble Rio once the bell had sounded for the opening round came out cautiously working behind his jab and putting a few combinations together with Taganikula content on starting slow and moving well.

Once Rio had discovered an opening over the Fijians jab he landed a massive overhand right that landed flush and rattled the taller and more experienced Taganikula. Rio was relentless in his follow up attack landing power shot after power shot that had Taganikula in trouble and reeling from the relentless aggression from the Australian.
