Danny Kennedy Claims WBF Asia Pacific Crown in Sydney, Australia after climbing off the canvas.

In the Main Event of a WBF Double Header that also featured the vacant WBF Australasian Lightweight title, Danny Kennedy has defeated Adam Kaoullas via way of Split Points decision to be crowned WBF Asia Pacific Welterweight Champ.

In a super classy fight, we can certainly say that this one will definitely be in the running for 'Fight of the Year' next to the WBF International Super Middleweight bout between Ali Elrich and Chase Haley recently.

Round 1 was a very typical opener to a 10 Round title bout with both fighters feeling out the other, plenty of feints and lots of head movement and the occasional jab and flurry from both with Kennedy landing the cleaner shots

Round 2 had Kaoullas patient and looking to counter whilst Kennedy was content to work behind his jab, doubling up and looking for the openings. Toward the end of round, in a heated exchange just seconds before the clack of the 10 second warning could be heard, Kaoullas lands a perfectly timed right cross that sent Kennedy to the canvas. He looked rattled as he got to his feet at the count of 5 and seemed to recover quickly as Kaoullas didn't rush in looking to end it.

Round 3 Kaoullas comes out confidently after sending his opponent to the canvas only a moment before and has Kennedy in trouble in the middle of the round up against the ropes then Kennedy comes back with a flurry of his own landing combinations.
