Chad Bennett became the new WBF World Welterweight champion following a victory over Argentina’s Diego Ponce in Newcastle, Australia on 20th May 2011.
Despite himself being knocked down in the second round Bennett, from Newcastle, Australia, was able to complete the win with a sensational finish and KO in round seven.
Bennett’s record will move to 26-4-3 while Ponce’s will show 20-6-3.
