The WBF would like to wish “Trainer of the Millenium” Keith Ellis all the best as he recovers in hospital from a recent stroke. Keith is well known for training such champions as Lester Ellis, Heath Ellis, Rod Carr, Tony Miller, Mick Hargreaves, Tim Bell, David Diecke and Daniel Iannazzo. Keith’s expert knowledge is respected and famous wit cherished by all in the boxing community and we all look forward to seeing him back at ringside very soon.

The WBF is proud to have well known boxing identity Keith Terceira on the team as both Ratings Chairman and Regional USA Representative. Mr Terceira has an extensive boxing resume and has been involved in the industry for many years as a boxer, matchmaker, writer, trainer and administrator.

He is a past partner and editor of BoxingScene.com where he still serves as a staff writer. Other articles he has authored have appeared on Eastsideboxing.com, 15Rounds.com, Primer Round Magazine and the Ring sport magazine. He was also publisher of New England weekly fight newspaper Fight Facts from 1988 – 2002 and has extensively covered fights at big venues such as Madison Square Garden and Felt Forum. Keith has also written and produced content for ESPN, FoxSports.com, and SI.

In response to recent growth and expansion into new markets the WBF is proud to announce that it has just engaged the services of premier Melbourne web design company Alaress to redesign its website. The new and improved site is expected to be online by the end of January.

Susie “Q” Ramadan battled it out for nine rounds last night at the Knox Netball Centre in Ferntree Gully, Melbourne before beating Thailand’s Jubjang Lookmakarmwan in a TKO victory, winning the WBF World Super Bantamweight Title. With this Susie becomes Australia’s second ever female World Boxing Champion.

Last night on the Gold Coast Les Sherrington won a TKO victory over Shannan Taylor in the fifth round taking home the (interim) WBF Super Middleweight Title. This brings his record to 25-5 with an impressive 16 wins by knockout.
