On December 20, 2008, Cassandra White’s “Babie Doll Productions” will promote an exciting night of professional boxing, featuring a World Boxing Foundation world title match. The event will take place at HowardUniversity’s Buur Arena in Washington, D.C., beginning at 7:00 p.m.

In the main event, WBF middleweight champion, Kreshnick Qato, 17-6, will battle Chicago’s David “The Weezel” Estrada in a scheduled 12 round title fight. This bout will be the first defense of Qato, who won the title in April in his native country, Albania. Estrada, the rugged middleweight from Chicago, looks to be a tough challenge, bringing his unconventional style into the ring against former Albanian Olympian Qato.

Daniel Pawsey won a hard-fought battle over the crafty veteran Sean Connell last night at the Croatian Club in Punchbowl, Sydney for the vacant WBF Asia Pacific Super Middleweight Title. Pawsey came in looking very fit and seems to have improved considerably. He stalked his opponent from the outset and just seemed to out-work the Irish-born Australian. Connell, however, was always in the fight and certainly gave it his all and only trailed by 2 (twice) and 4 points on the official scorecards at the end of the 7th round. However, the end came in the 8th round when Pawsey sent Connell crashing to the canvas twice, both courtesy of right hands. Referee Les Fear waived it off after the second knockdown of the round and there were no complaints from Connell or his team. Pawsey moves to 7-2 (4) while Connell is now 10-13-2 (4).
